So why is it so little known compared to those other two methods?

Could be that the UK and US governments recommend cardio for everyone 3 times a week for 30 minutes.

But if you want to stay healthy, if you want to lose weight and if, for that matter, you want to avoid a heart attack, is better than cardio by far.

Cardio carried out without interval training actually makes your heart and lungs smaller – which is a bad thing.
