<p>So why is it so little known compared to those other two methods?</p>
<p>Could be that the UK and US governments recommend cardio for everyone 3 times a week for 30 minutes.</p>
<p>But if you want to stay healthy, if you want to lose weight and if, for that matter, you want to avoid a heart attack, <a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/interval+training." rel="tag">interval training.</a> is better than cardio by far.</p>
<p>Cardio carried out without interval training actually makes your heart and lungs <em>smaller</em> &#8211; which is a bad thing.</p>
