New Study Confirms Fish Oil Benefits Heart

by Rob on September 14, 2009

salmon1-w200-h200A new study by the Oschner Medical Center, New Orleans, confirms just how beneficial fish oil. is for keeping the heart healthy – and getting the heart healthy.

Oily fish is a great way to get fish oil. This includes salmon, sardines, trout, herring and whitebait. However, it is hard to get enough this way so supplementation is required.

The study, carried out recommends taking 500mg of fish oil daily for everyone; and 1000mg if there is a pre-existing heart condition.

I would recommend taking more than this – more like 1000-20000mg of EPA+DHA, which will probably equate to about 6000-7000mg of fish oil.
