An American scientist, Dr Yan-Fang Ren, of the Eatsman Institute for Oral Health, New York, has warned that orange juice,, and other fruit juices, damage teeth. He reports that fruit juices can reduce enamel hardness by 84%.

They made the discovery when testing the effects of tooth whiteners. They found that while teeth whiteners remove a little enamel, fruit juice stripped tooth enamel massively.

We have already seen warnings about fruit juice pumping up blood sugar – as much as drinking coke or eating sweets. Here’s another reason to keep your fruit juices to an occasional treat.
